- For this amount of cache your server need to have about 2,5 GB of RAM. You
can add memory or adjust the cache_dir to have about 30 GB maximum. You need
to have about 10 MB RAM per 1 GB cache_dir plus 50 MB for Squid plus your
cache_mem plus memory for the OS plus some buffers.
- You should only use about 75 % of the partitions, not more. Read the FAQ.
- You need to adjust level-1 to a minimum of 100 for 75 GB of cache. Read
the FAQ. Cache size / 13 kB average file size in internet / 256 files per
directory / 256 l-2 directorie + 20 % for safety = l-1 directories.
