I _think_ the problem is that the package is Samba 3.0a19, which apparently
changed the interface to Winbind.

Try a 2.2.4, 2.2.5 or 2.2.6pre2 based package(if one exists for debian) or
build from source. 2.2.6pre2 includes the patches to smbpassword to set the
machine trust account password.
