Yes. To browsers FTP objects is just a URL like any other protocol,
and will be sent to the HTTP proxy if your configuration script tells
it to... (http/https/ftp/gopher).

Please note that not all kinds of FTP can be done with a browser via a
HTTP proxy, so you most certainly will need to be able to provide
alternative access methods for FTP.
