2.3Stable1 asyncio

Does 2.3 STABLE1 do anything with asyncio, (without asyncufs)?

ie configure --enable-async-io
and squid only has 1 thread. It looks like the only calls to the part
that opens the threads is triggered by asyncufs - is that correct? How
stable is asyncufs, and it it worth trying, given that we used asyncio
on the 2.2STABLE4 boxes we have.
