Yes, without a proxy "www.cabellas.com" does not work as well. The browser
says "cabellas.com" does not have a DNS entry. This is probably a "feature":
When the browser receives a redirect reply it does a lookup for
"cabeIIas.com". The lookup fails. Instead of reporting an error about
"cabeIIas.com", the browser reports an error about the original host. Note
that "www.cabellas.com" is an alias for "cabellas.com".
This "feature" is useful _sometimes_. When a user goes to "www.cabellas.com",
he or she does not expect any errors about other servers (redirect is
transparent to the user!). Thus, the browser probably modifies the error
message to look related to the original query. In this particular case, the
modification leads to a confusion.
