Hi,
I have just specced out some machines to replace our current cache server
and have come back with the following:
Pentium 200MHz
256Mb RAM
2Gb for operating system stuff (usr partition basically)
3 x 4Gb for cache dirs
What problems (or issues) are there for me by using the three disks for
caching? I was thinking of splitting each disk into 1Gb partitions and
specifying 12 cache_dir statements in squid.conf.
Would I be better off by leaving them alone and specifying only three
cache_dir's? What about striping them all together?
Oh, operating system is FreeBSD.
Im not really sure what the best approach is so any suggestions would be
most grateful!
Regards,
