I just upgraded an old 1.0.5 to 1.1.6.
I compiled it the same way I compiled a 1.1.4 some days ago (with
gmalloc.o et malloc.h).
Squid sometimes lasts some minutes, but most of the times, it dies every 3
minutes with:
FATAL: xmalloc: Unable to allocate 4096 bytes!
Squid Cache (Version 1.1.6): Terminated abnormally.
CPU Usage: user 16 sys 18
Maximum Resident Size: 0 KB
Page faults with physical i/o: 0
97/02/18 16:01:53| storeWriteCleanLog: Starting...
I use unlimit before lauching it.
I tried to compile it without GNUmalloc, or with libmalloc.a -> same results.
Is there any difference between 1.1.4 and 1.1.6 to explain that ?
TIA
