Passing client ip address to authenticator

Hi,
One my client askes me if it is possible to pass client io address to
auth module.
Where I can find start point for squid 2.5 modification ?

PS: What about Squid 3.0 PRE 3 for OS/2 - I don't know anybody who
make it while there are as minimum 3 sources for ver 2.5
