Thanks Amos for the quick and thorough response.
The current use of squid for our needs is exactly reverse-proxy, So i guess
changing to shorter keep-alive/idle timeout makes sense for our usage.
For the second point - I understand that if the client disconnects the
server can free up resources, but for less disciplined clients - it might be
interesting to consider...
