RE: [squid-users] Allow normal user to run squid reconfigure command

Hello Sebastian,

Thanks for the help, i have allowed the user to rwx on cachemgr but did not have any successes.

squid: ERROR: Could not send signal 1 to process 874: (1) Operation not permitted

Also i did not want to allow user su or sudo rights.
Actually i want to allow one of our night shift person to add / remove ip from a file and recon squid process in case of emergency.
He is not the member of the proxy team.

I think you understand my point.
