Others have already pointed out a few way to do it. Here are the formal

Cache is there to persist data locally for quick use until it is no
longer valid.
Which brings up the question of *why* you need to manually erase it
all?
What are you dealing with that so badly corrupts/violates HTTP that it
does not auto-replace?
