My point being that the dev do not read this mailing list. If you want
things changed in the code this is one of the worst places to mention.
Bugzilla was a good start, a reminder to squid-dev may make one of the
others try a fix.
  Or you could try your hand at making a patch for configure.in and the
relevant Makefile.am?
