I am running Squid 3.1.0.15 on CentOS 5.x 64bit with 4G of RAM. It
has about 150GB in the cache. Took about a week to get that big.
After it runs for about a week file descriptor usage creeps up to
about 13k out of 16k available. Seems to also slow down but it could
be my imagination. If I restart the service FD usage drops way back
down and stays at about 3 - 4k for first 24 hours.
Is this normal? I have increased FD's to 32k. Not sure that will help?
