Correct.

Mainly because it only possible if security is restricted to
NTLMv1/LANMAN authentication only, not when NTLMv2 is in the mix.

Second because the code dealing with the challange reuse was causing a
lot of problems, and complicating the ntlm auth scheme implementation
considerably.
