When squid is running, /usr/local/squid/var/logs/squid.pid exists
If I kill squid, the pid file still exists.
If I restart squid it just overwrites the squid.pid with the new PID
Anyway I can tell squid when its not running to ditch the PID file (without relying on scripts and cron jobs to test for this?)
