I am also plotting req/sec so that is not a problem.
And I am not finding anything in mib.txt for total number of concurrent
connections.
Will it really be in squid mib, not in Operating system mib?

You can browse the mib located in share/mib.txt under your squid root or
wherever you installed "share" to. I graph requests (not connections)
and hits:
1.3.6.1.4.1.3495.1.3.2.1.1
1.3.6.1.4.1.3495.1.3.2.1.2
