Odd indeed. This indicates there has been more cache digests received than
the total traffic received (of which cache digests is part..).

but with these low numbers I think maybe your Squid can not contact it's
cachedigest enabled peers at all, making the digest code only receive the
"connection failed" error responses from Squid itself.. (error message
generated locally).
