Please collect logs with

   log_mime_hdrs on

and send the last 5 or so requests for the server (www.mapquest.com) up to
the error (5xx status code in access.log).

This should give sufficient information to attempt reproducing the problem
under controlled conditions.

Also try upgrading to 2.5.STABLE10 before anything else. There has been
quite significant changes in header processing. Please remember to set
"relaxed_header_parser warn" (or off) while looking at this problem after
the upgrade as in the default setting it may be a bit too quitet to show
the nature of this problem.
