Do you have a testing/development box?
If so, grab and install the SRPM for the version of squid you are using (FC2
looks to use 2.5.STABLE5-2
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/2/SRPMS/squid-2.5.ST
ABLE5-2.src.rpm), edit "/usr/src/redhat/SPECS/squid.spec". Change the
Release line (increment the number, add an extension, whatever), and add a
Patch line after the last existing patch line. It looks like it would be
"Patch110: http://devel.squid-cache.org/follow_xff/follow_xff-2.5.patch".
Save the edited spec file, and run "rpmbuild -bb
/usr/src/redhat/SPECS/squid.spec". Watch the output for errors, wait a
while, and you should have an RPM in /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/{your architecture
here}/
Piece of cake. Welcome to the sultry world of RPM building...
I have no knowledge of this patch or its interaction with FC2.

Subject: [squid-users] follow_xff rpm?
Does anyone know if the follow_xff patch
(http://devel.squid-cache.org/follow_xff/index.html)is available in rpm
format yet? Has anyone applied this to FC2?
