Hi,
These last times, I have a lot of these messages in squid's cache.log :
2004/08/04 10:19:40| Detected REVIVED Sibling: sibling2/8080/3130
2004/08/04 10:19:40| Detected REVIVED Parent: parent2/8080/3130
2004/08/04 10:19:40| Detected REVIVED Parent: parent1/8080/3130

2004/08/04 10:21:46| Detected REVIVED Sibling: sibling1/8080/3130

2004/08/04 10:23:12| TCP connection to parent1/8080 failed
2004/08/04 10:23:12| TCP connection to parent1/8080 failed
2004/08/04 10:23:12| TCP connection to parent2/8080 failed
I have a lot of those "detected DEAD parent/sibling" in the logs. It happens
very frequently (almost every 5-10 minutes) and it results, for the user, in
the message ERR_CANNOT_FORWARD.
My conf is the following :
cache_peer sibling1 sibling 8080 3130 proxy-only
cache_peer sibling2 sibling 8080 3130 proxy-only
cache_peer parent1 parent 8080 3130 weight=90
cache_peer parent2 parent 8080 3130 weight=50
icp_query_timeout 3000
maximum_icp_query_timeout 3000
I have already increased the icp_query_timeout and maximum_icp_query_timeout
parameters, but with no success. This problem has appeared recently with
no changes on squid boxes. What could be the reason of it? The network?
Thx in advance.
Pierre-Emmanuel
