[squid-users] assertion failed: diskd/store_io_diskd.c:369: "!diskdstate->flags.close_request"

Squid 2.5STABLE5 on a Dual Xeon 2.8 w/ 2 gigs of memory running FreeBSD
4.10-STABLE.

I've been running for a few weeks since a clean rebuild without issues,
but now saw about three of these today:

 From cache.log:
2004/07/21 10:11:14| assertion failed: diskd/store_io_diskd.c:369:
"!diskdstate->flags.close_request"

 From OS /var/log/messages:
Jul 21 10:12:48 squid /kernel: pid 95842 (squid), uid 100: exited on
signal 6 (core dumped)
Jul 21 10:12:48 squid squid[95839]: Squid Parent: child process 95842
exited due to signal 6

I have a core dump to trace if required... but any ideas?
