[squid-users] child processes exiting with signal 25 and squid not starting

Hi,

I have squid 2.5STABLE3 running on fedora core 1 patched. It is
configured as a transparent proxy, using iptables. I use squidGuard for
content filtering and access control.

Up until now, it has been working very well. This morning it will not
start up, and in the log file I get lots of errors about the child
processes exiting with signal 25.

I have had a look in the archives and googled a solution, but I only
found a few other mailing list entries with the same error and none of
these have been answered.

The filesystem where the cache is is not full, and nothing on the system
has changed, so what has made squid suddenly unwell like this ;(
