If you're using netscape, a file file be created after loading the
proxy.pac file: 'proxy.cfg' or something similar.
After loading your browser, look for this file and check the contents.

What you also can do if try to surf to that proxy.pac file
(http://proxy.mydomain.com/proxy.pac)
, and check if you get that proxy.pac file.
