Yeah, I know it sounds funny. I posted the problem on the Red Hat forum, and
they gave me the same explanation regarding /etc/share/zoneinfo. Even if I
copy the file from another machine, it reverts back to a zero length file.
The server is configured with NTPD and is an NTP master for our Cisco
routers and switches. I have configured the local clock to sync with NTP. No
problems with RH8.
