[squid-users] Squid with IE5.5

I use IE5.5 as the browser. I use about:blank page when I open it up.

When I click the dropdown list box to look up the URL that I used,
the IE5.5 will hang. This won't happen if you click the URL field
to input the URL by hand.

This won't happen while I don't use proxy. Is there any cure for this??
as I can't ask the users to ctrl-alt-del to abort the IE after they press
the
wrong button....
