Hello all,
I have Zope (www.zope.org) running on port 8080 which serves out 2 virtual
sites at webhost.hr.ucdavis.edu/site1 and webhost.hr.ucdavis.edu/site2.
I have FQDNs registered for site1.ucdavis.edu and site2.ucdavis.edu pointing
to this box.
I have Squid sitting in front on port 80 redirecting via proxy-accelerator
mode to port 80.
I'm looking for a way to rewrite requests such that site1.ucdavis.edu gets
redirected to site1.ucdavis.edu/site1.
Someone suggested pyredir, but looking on the
http://www.squid-cache.org/related-software.html it's no longer listed.
So I went and downloaded Squirm, and gave that a try. I've gotten squirm
installed and working:
hrhost# /usr/local/squirm/bin/squirm
Squirm running as UID 0: writing logs to stderr
Mon Oct 21 17:28:51 2002:unable to open local addresses file
[/usr/local/squirm/etc/squirm.local]
Mon Oct 21 17:28:51 2002:unable to open redirect patterns file
Mon Oct 21 17:28:51 2002:Invalid condition - continuing in DODO mode
Mon Oct 21 17:28:51 2002:Squirm (PID 7476) started
And I changed /etc/squid/squid.conf to use squirm as the redirect program.
So now, how do I configure /usr/local/squirm/etc/squirm.local and
squirm.patterns to handle the redirection above? The examples given at:
http://squirm.foote.com.au/#examples seem to apply for proxy mode only,
rather than reverse proxy.
Thanks for any assistance!
