Hi,
I have squid proxy server running in Solaris 8. I send
a fake request to squid periodically to see how it is
responding. Normally the response time will be in the
order of .05s. But from time to time I do see the
response time go up to 2sec+. This increase in
response time is nothing to do with the number of
requests it is handling, since I have seen the same
behaviour even when the number requests are bare
minimum. I have also isolated that this delay is
nothing to do with the network, since I ran a similar
test in the squid box itself and the delay is still
there.
The config is: 4CPUs, 3G memory, 256 cache mem.
6x6.5G cache dir on 8.5G file systems with noatime and
asyncufs.
Any ideas what is going on?
Thanks
Jag
