There is nothing "java" about packets, but nevermind.

Squid is a HTTP Proxy Cache. If you primarily want a HTTP content
filter then Squid is not your program. Instead other HTTP proxy
applications such as junkbuster or similar proxies may be what you
are after.

That said Squid can block web objects based on their URL or file type.
See the access control section in squid.conf and the mentioned
documents.

Squid cannot look into web obejcts to determine what they really are.
Squid trusts HTTP to provide correct information (and so SHOULD
browsers, but many don't...)
