Quite many.
Squid can plug into any "login+password" type authentication scheme. All that
is needed to be done to integrate Squid with a new "password database" is to
write a small program that accepts "ID PW" pairs as input and returns OK or
ERR as output to indicate if the entered login and password was correct or
not.
