Hi All
I have a squid box on Redhat 7.2
I had 1.2 gig of data on /var/spool/squid and decided to get a 20 gig
Hdd
After formatting and partitioning the new hdd I mounted it as /cache2
I then added the line
cache_dir ufs /cache2 19500 16 256
on the next line after
cache_dir ufs /var/spool/squid 6000 16 256
After this I stoped squid
did a >squid -z
then restarted
I have these water marks
cache_swap_low 90
cache_swap_high 95
PROBLEM:
I did this a month ago when /var/spool/squid was at 1.2 gig
Now the new Hdd is at 15 gig but /var/spool/squid is still at 1.2gig
(the size hasn't changed)
QUESTION:
Is the cache in /var/spool/squid being used?
Why isn't it filling up to 5.5 gig?
Where did I go wrong?
Regards
Stuart Clark
