    But the proxy parents are in the same LAN. I Thought that it was slower
to consult many caches than to redirect all the requests to proxy parents
cache.

Proxy + cache is always faster than proxy only, except when your hardware is
way of to slow for the traffic. Your Hardware is OK i think, but i recommend
you use only 10 GB for cache.

    I will install two proxy servers wich validate users with ldap and
redirects all request to intranet web pages directly. The request to
Internet will be redirect to Parents Proxy in a DMZ. What´s faster to http
request Proxy Only or Cache proxy.
 
    The machine are PII 450 with 512Mb and 18Gb of Cache.
