[squid-users] Authorized FTP through a parent

How can I make Squid2.5PRE5 to use parents
always when they are not dead,
but go DIRECT when all parents are dead?
Option "cache_peer ...default" didn't help!

Now Squid goes DIRECT when FTP is not anonymous :-((((((
