[squid-users] Can SQUID be prevented from fetching further objects

Afternoon to all

Sorry for the off topic NEWBIE question, but I am very interested to
know if a configuration option(s) exists that will allow SQUID to
continue to serve objects that have already been cached (say at an
earlier date) and NOT to fetch any NEW objects, hence providing the
ability to effectively limit external browsing and confine browsing to
the current cache contents. Any help on this topic is much appreciated.

Apologies if someone has already answered this question, please point me
in the right direction.
