[squid-users] cygwin/squid DNS question

I'm using squid 2.4 from the latest cygwin installation. After setting
up the basic stuff, squid complains that no DNS server found. I
understand I can find out Win 2k 's DNS setting using ipconfig, and set
it manually in squid.conf, but is there a systematic way to
automatically discover dns server? If NT's own ping program can find
out, why can't squid?
