Hi,
I'd like an advice about Squid. I use Squid proxy server to provide web
access from LAN workstations. No problem til here...
Now I need to run a second proxy server in my domain, so I've 2
solutions:
Solution A:
I can run a second SQUID server on the same station, but in this case:
- Can I configure the new server to use a virtual interface (I've one
physical interface with two different IP addresses, one per proxy
server).
Solution B:
I think it'll be the easiest way. I can install the new proxy server on
a different station
- Is it really more performant to have two SQUID server on two different
stations than sharing the same station?
Last question, can I configure SQUID to use a different outgoing IP
address according to source IP address. For example:
If source IP address is in 192.168.10.x ---> Then IP outgoing address
should be 192.168.10.10
If source IP address is in 192.168.20.x ---> Then IP outgoing address
souhld be 192.168.10.11
...
Thanks in advance for your help,
Patrick
