Did you see that I found the reason for the freezes?
It was the diskd cache_dir.. I changed it to UFS.. and voila.. it no longer
freezes..
Of course I'm saddened by this, as Diskd is suppose to give 20-30% better
performance..
Anybody have any ideas why diskd has a problem.. I'm running linux kernel
2.4.13-pre2.. and the cache_dir is on reiserfs.

Ok. Makes sense as that option is for turning a shift+reload request
into a IMS request by Squid.

Ok. So you most likely have problem with cache hits then.
