[squid-users] Will squid take ASCII value for some of its configured directives

Accidentally I configured the squid directive reference_age as follows

                                        reference_age qqqqq

                                    But squid is accepting it and is running fine, and it's working fine for many options.Will squid take it's ASCII value.
