[squid-users] Problem with ":" character in URL

I have a problem accessin sites which have a colon ":" character in the
URL
e.g.

www.anysite.com:8886/login.html
squid returns an error which suggests that it thinks the URL is illegal.

Is there any way to configure squid to allow such URLs???
