[squid-users] idnsCheckQueue -- error

Hi,

I keep on getting this error on the cache.log almost at a rate of 4 lines every minute. The error message is as follows only the ID keeps varying.

 idnsCheckQueue: ID ae9d: giving up after 2 tries and 11.6 seconds

Will squid try to find the domain names of the client machines from DNS ? In this case all the client machines are in a private network and DNS will not be able to provide client names.

The following error also showed up once

Can't send query, no DNS socket

Do these errors have any connection ?
