I think as all performance issues, it depends. In the above
configuration, we have a system with 1.5G of RAM. It'd be interesting
to determine what the cache hit ratio. Assuming one strives for 90%,
then faster disks are certainly a difference as data has to be
shuttled back and forth.
(btw, I'm using numbers from database experience and have absolutely
no clue if they really transfer to SQUID)
