[squid-users] TCP Connection to Parent Cache/3128 failed

Hi:

I am getting this message in my cache.log file:

Detected DEAD Parent: 165.X.X.X/3128/0 (where X.X.X are the valid IP
range of the my parent ISP cache).

I have this in my squid.conf of squid 2.4 on freebsd 4.2

cache_peer 165.X.X.X parent 3128 0 no-query
prefer_direct off

Am I doing something wrong for trying to use the cache of my upstream
provider by making my squid his child and in case his cache do not
have the url i am going to it will just go directly.
