What your browser tells?
Check wether DNS run on the squid box (This is For the resolver to
query the other DNS).
Try with the following IPchain rule.
ipchains -A input -j REDIRECT 8080 -p tcp -s 0.0.0.0/0 -d 0.0.0.0/0 80
