Yes. New development is only taking place in the CVS HEAD (which
currently is what makes the Squid-2.5 daily snapshots). All released
versions (including 2.4 with it's PRE-STABLE release) is frozen, and
only bugfixes are applied.
This is especially visible in the Squid-2.3 tree, where the latest
STABLE4 release has quite a number of bugfixes, all of which naturally
are in the nightly squid-2.3 snapshots..
There are many (at least 3) daily snapshots generated from the CVS tree
Squid-2.5 (CVS HEAD, active development)
Squid-2.4 (in testing, aiming to become STABLE)
Squid-2.3 (STABLE)
However, the development model most Squid developers uses today also
aims at trying to keep the CVS HEAD reasonably stable at all times.
