I sent a message out last friday regarding this... It seems that the
information that I was handed was a bit off.
The following is true... We have a win2k web server running frontpage
2000 extensions with IIS. This server resides outside the private
network, beyond our linux firewall/proxy cache.
It seems that people using fronpage 98 from inside the private network
can not update their 'webs' properly any longer. They get "server timed
out" messages at the frontpage client. The new information iw as given
is that this is true for files over 500K in size, but I have not had the
time to verify this for myself. I only know that a LOT of people are
complaining now.
Updates are possible from outside our private network when squid is not
being used
Is there somewhere I can look that would help me to determine exactly
where the problem resides? I need to resolve this ASAP. These people
are getting ready to lynch me, and Linux as an OS in general...
