Sibling/Parent Configuration

Are there other directives to be configured besides the CACHE_PEER directive?

We have a configuration with one parent squid and two sibling squids. Based
on the log file they are passing the ICP requests to each other. However, a
sibling squid will not retrieve a cached entry from the parent of other sibling
squid. It also appears the parent squid will not fetch the URL from the origin
web site.
