fake pinger

Hi All,

One of my squid caches is behind a firewall, and this cachec an not ot
send ICMP pakets though the firewall. The most simple solution wold be to
create a fake pinger program, which cah say approx. 50msec for all the
host, but much more for the .hu tld. How is the pinger process works? Can
I replace it by a simple shell script, or so?
