Mr. Jason Haar presented us with this perl script that does the job

#!/usr/bin/perl -n
#
chop;
($time,$therest) = split(/\s+/,$_,2);
print scalar localtime($time)," $therest\n";

Just feed it with your access.log thru stdin!!
