Transparent Proxy for FTP and DNS

Dear All,
I have setup My Solaris x86 box with IP-Filter and squid-2.2.STABLE4 for
transparent proxy. It's working fine but I wonder if I can setup squid in
transparent FTP and DNS proxy.
I added redirection fot FTP and DNS on IP filter but it seems Squid can not
reply to FTP and DNS in transparent mode. Am I right?
