People have reported success in socksifying Squid using the standard
methods for socksifying a non-SOCKS application, including (but not
limited to) using the runsocks wrapper. Running Squid in this way is not
a "supported" environment however.
If your quesing is if Squid can act as a SOCKS server then no. Squid is
a HTTP proxy server, nothing else. It is NOT an FTP, RealAudio, SOCKS or
whatever proxy, and it is certainly not a firewall. There are other
software for those purposes.
