Squid not caching

Hello friends, I've got a big problem.

I think that my Squid not caching enough.

I have just installed Squid 2.2 with RedHat 6.0, I have also 2.8 GB for
caching (cache_dir) and
64 MB (cache_mem 20 MB) of RAM. My problem is that even I've got much free
 space in the cache,
 if I see the stats I find out that there aren't TCP_HIT.

Perhaps the directive never_direct do that extrange behaviour..... I don't
Know.
